My Beagle

My happy Beagle, Lady, is a handful. I got her as a puppy, and she was cuddly and playful in the beginning. As time went by, she turned out to be a hyperactive little lady, who loves chewing on my shoes, slippers, and furniture. So, some discipline training was definitely required. Moreover, being that Lady is a very happy-go-lucky and active, she just loves outdoors and any king of outdoor activity works for her, as long as she’s able to run her heart out. I took her of the leash a few times in the beginning, which was a mistake, because she tends to run after other dogs. So, whenever I take her to the park, I keep her on a leash. Otherwise, she is free to run around and play in the house and in the fenced backyard. She’s almost two years now, and likes to explore more than cuddle. She is somewhat weary of strangers, but is not hesitant to make new friends, when it comes to both dogs and humans. Overall, Beagles are wonderful, playful, curious, and loyal friends, but they do require some discipline training, especially if you don’t want to keep buying new furniture on regular basis.
