Many dogs in one - lovable, but super neurotic!

We adopted Daisy when she was only a few months old. She is a Chiweenie Puggle mix, which means there are 4 dog breeds mixed together. She is a sweet and cuddly dog, but is super high strung and neurotic, too. My husband & I joke that she has slowly tried to destroy our house! For example, I've caught her: chewing on the exterior stucco, scratching (to the point of removing hunks of wood!) door frames, and trying to eat a newel post. If she gets wound up, wherever she is WILL be destroyed - nothing is safe. She has ruined boxes, clothing, blankets, furniture, etc. She's also an obsessive chewer; she has even managed to chew through kevlar dog toys! Only Kong toys are safe in our house.

On the flip side, she's relatively small -- just shy of 30 lbs -- and loves nothing more than to play fetch or tug of war. She loves to cuddle up into a little ball and snuggle with you. She knows that if she's uncomfortable to avoid lashing out and instead will find somewhere to hide (mostly under beds). She's definitely more of an adult's dog than a child's dog; our 4 year old son makes her nervous so she tends to hide a lot.

We love her and think she's great, but we're also not blind to her neuroses! She's definitely a dog that's had to be on Prozac, she needs to be shaved pretty regularly and sheds like no other... but she's our sweet little girl and we love her anyway!
