Misty was a good dog! She was the dog I got when we moved back to the United States after living overseas. We picked her up from a rescue shelter - she was nervous around us at first but warmed up after a few days.

She was a great dog to play with - we had a huge yard and I could play ball outside with her for hours. She was very lovable and, in general, a happy dog.

She was a hound though, and she would bark and howl for no reason. She would do this for hours on end. She was also a short-haired dog, and she shed a massive amount of black hair on our cream carpets. We brushed her regularly but she was always shedding.

I would absolutely recommend this breed for anyone with a lot of land and patience for grooming and who doesn't mind some howling. She was a great dog, great with all of the other kids and dogs in the neighborhood. She didn't have any health issues either.
