Beagle/Pit mix fun but has issues...

Karma is a beagle/pit bull mix who was obtained from the local humane society. She is sweet but has an aggressive side that showed early on when playing. With teenage children she does well but, again, is easily excitable. She also has extreme separation anxiety and exhibits it by chewing and destroying shoes or clothing if she is not crated while you're away. Head for the bathroom and she will be whining outside the door until you come out. She also has an inclination to wander if she is freed from the confines of the backyard or house. I firmly believe this is the beagle in her - following her nose and not looking back. She was slow in training and occasionally needs reminding of what she knows due to her excitability. I would use caution if you have small children or an extremely chaotic household if considering this mix. They are sweet, sensitive dogs but have excitability and anxiety issues.
