My Least Favorite Dog I Have Owned

I always wanted a Basenji - I had a friend who had two and I thought they were so cool so as soon as I had a house I set out to get one. It may be because I didn't get it from a puppy (as I usually do), however this was the most challenging, annoying dog I have ever owned since I was a child. EVERY single time you barely walked within reach of him he would stick out his tongue and lick whatever part of your body he could get that tongue on - there was no missing it. If you sat down to watch TV, he would come and you would fight him to not lick you. He just HAD to lick every second of his life. I couldn't take it and ended up giving him to a family (letting them know his licking addiction from the start). He was quiet and groomed himself almost like a cat which was nice. He also liked to jump fences as I believe this breed does. Ended up our personalities just clashed. They are beautiful dogs though.
