Australian Shepherds - Pros and Cons

My dog is a very important part of my life, as I spent most of the day with him. We go on walks everyday and he doesn't bark at strangers, unless if he really doesnt like them. I would say there are many pros of having a australian shepard, he is usually very kind, gentle and calm, I often leave it with my kids, because it is completely trust worthy. The cons would be: If the dog hasnt been taken out for a walk in a couple of days it tends to get cranky, and starts barking, but once you talk him for a walk he will be fine. He also doesnt normally get along very well with my cat, so that is something to keep in mind.
