Tiny Tim

Tim
is the next generation in Cattle Dog. He was born in June of this
year, and is “in training” already. Our “old-timer”, Brutus,
has become his mentor to the herding game. But, honestly, I think
Tim is a natural. Tim, or “Tiny Tim”, as we like to call him, is
still very much a puppy. What I mean by that is, well, he lacks a
certain attention span. Tim is playful and curious, and is just now
figuring out the responsibilities ahead of him as the next-in-line to
the Cattle Guard Throne.

Tim
loves to ride in the back of a pickup. Whenever one is parked
nearby, he immediately jumps in the back and wags his tiny tail, in
hopes of a joy ride! He is not afraid of anything, animal, vegetable
or mineral, so we have to be watchful at his young age. He does not
yet know his limitations.

Tim
is fun to watch. How do these guys know so well exactly what to do
with a herd? I wish I had their instinct. It would save me a lot of
bumps and bruises.
