We rescued our Australian Cattle Dog (heeler) almost two years ago now. She was endearing to us immediately for her sassy personality, eager to please attitude, and high energy drive. If you reach out to pet her at all, she immediately rolls over and is submissive to you. At thirty pounds, she still believes she is a lap dog and will curl up on top of you any chance she gets. She plays great with our son and his friends, will play fetch for days, and tries so hard to make you happy.

When we had our mares, she used to head out on the trails with me. Even if she got left behind, she would trot happily along until I came back for her. Nothing phases her. She is fiercely loyal and protective of her people, a great feature as I love having a guard dog.

If we had to do it over again, we would rescue her in a heartbeat!
