When I found my dog next to the road, full of porcupine pens, she was scared and wary. She was skinny, and obviously in great distress and underfed. It broke my heart when I found her. I took her to the veterinarian, and decided to take her home and give her the love she obviously never had.
We found out she was a strange mixture between a Jack Russell Terrier and a Bull Terrier. This dog mixture ended up being a great, loveable animal. She was always full of excitement once she realised we were there to stay. However, even though she was high-strung, she was a great guard-dog. She wasn't a good watchdog, however. She looked like a Bull Terrier, but displayed more of a Jack Russell Terrier personality. This made her a great dog. The biggest issue we had with her, is that she used to lie in the sun, on her back, and had a daily tan in the sun. She burnt her poor little white body pink, and started to develop skin cancer easily. This was hard to treat, and harder to keep her out of the sun.
