I am a professional pet sitter, and was able to care for an Anatolian. I was cautious at first, as told that she is a huge guard dog. I was nervous to enter her home alone; but she quickly learned that I was there to walk and feed her. After about 3 days she finally showed some excitement to see me, and after that I knew she was never going to hurt me. This breed can be intimidating; but are great family dogs. Very loving, very protective over their owners/family/home! I love their unusual markings. A lot of shedding, so brushing and grooming is an issue. They have a calm demeanor, not highly hyper dogs. Loves to take walks, as long as you aren't meeting up with a lot of other dogs on the walk!! :)
