Weighing in at 130-150lbs, these are large dogs with a big personality. They are fiercely loyal to their herds (whether they are animal or human) and will protect them from anything they deem threatening. They are eager to train and work but very independent. If you want to be considered the leader to this dog, be prepared to have to impress and outsmart him on a regular basis as he will compete with you for "top dog". They can be destructive if they are not given a "job" to do. This dog is less pet and more workhorse.
