Pumpkin was abandoned and abused before she became part of my family. She was left alone when someone moved and she was skeletal when I adopted her. I've never seen a happier dog to come home than she was. She was excited to have walks and attention. It was obvious she was grateful and she gave us her whole heart. She is protective of the family and likes to announce her arrival to the neighborhood every time she goes outside. She loves water and bath time and is a hoot to watch in the summer when she goes swimming in her pool. She is a short haired dog and we thought she would shed less than a longer haired breed but she sheds heavily. She is very curious and extremely food driven. She has some quirks to her personality like stealing any paper product she can find but she is also the most affectionate dog I've ever met.
