Roxxi loves her family, but not too many other people unless they come with treats in hand. She is really protective of what she considers "her territory", and will bark and make a fuss if you harass her in her territory. However she hasn't bitten anyone or even pretended like she was going to outside of play time. She's very playful and energetic. Not a great dog for small animals such as cats, however. The cat and Roxxi never managed to get along. Small children who are liable to pull on tails and ears should also be kept separate from her, but she goes upstairs or away from them when they're over. I don't think she likes kids that much, but that's not representative as a breed. She was raised with teenagers, not small children and therefore has no experience playing nice with kids. They're very trainable. She hits a bell hanging on the back door when she wants to go outside and understands and obeys 8 commands, including "sit", "stay", and "hush".
