Acquired: Rescue / shelter organization

Jemma came from the shelter with no past history as she was found straying in the mountains. When I took her for a walk, I knew that we are a perfect match. She just kept looking at me, with her curious eyes, waiting for the final signal from me that shows her that she has a safe home now. We believe that she is a Jack Russell and German Pointer mix and her behavior absolutely supports this opinion. She is hyper like a Jack Russel (she can easily run a 5k with me and asking for more afterwards) and alert like a Pointer. Walking her is more like walking next to a vacuum cleaner as her smell is very sensitive and her nose is constantly on the ground when we are out. One thing that is hard to manage is her heavy shedding from time to time. It is a Jack Russell thing, so the best we could do was to make some changes in the house to make it more manageable.
