What a great breed of dog. This dog is very friendly. In fact, I doubt there is a mean bone in his body. He is so cuddly it is great. He is 45 pounds but thinks he is a lapdog. He always sits or lays where he can be touched. He sleeps at our feet every night and just lays where he can be touched. He is great with kids and other dogs. He exercises like a maniac in the off leash areas. The good thing is when he is done running he comes over and just lets us know he is ready to head home to his bed.

I think this mix is a very good mix for a family. He tolerates noise. He tolerates kids petting him, pulling him etc. very well. If he does not like what is going on he just walks away and lays on his bed. When he is outside walking, he never lets other dogs bother him. He just ignores dogs that get over friendly or aggressive. However, when he finds a dog he clicks with, he has fun. If another dog snaps at him, he barely reacts and just stares after he makes sure no other action is happening.

He is very smart. He knows what noises to be concerned about. If a family member comes home late, he never moves. I guess he can tell who it is even when they are outside. However, if he hears something he thinks is not right, he starts out with low grade barks and then escalates to a full blown bark to make sure I know someone is there. This is perfect as far as I am concerned.

While I realize that every dog, despite the breed mix, will be different. Similar dogs that I have encountered of this mix seem pretty similar. Great pets.
