My General my Mutt

General was a mutt. Obtained from a small border town, his mom resembled a pit but he was a true Heinz 57. 60 lbs at his biggest, shed year around like a German Sheppard, black spotted tongue like a chow, coarse hair down the ridge of his back like an Australian ridge back, long funny curly tail. He was hyper as a puppy, my first dog. I had him from birth to death. The best parts of General was his love for my children, his willingness to please, he was quiet and friendly. Minuses are that he took forever to train, he acted like a puppy for about 8 years before settling into his aging body. His mind was still playful but his body started to breakdown. I miss him as much as losing a human, he was my first child. However, the amount he shed was disgusting, went through several vacuums, groomers who wouldn't see him anymore because his hair was hopeless. Sometimes his shedding made it hard to love on him which still guilt's me. Personality he was the BEST!!!!
