No one told him he is an "aggressive breed".

I have a six month old male pit bull/boxer mix. He is already larger than my other two dogs, but seems to have no idea that this is true. He is, by far, the most submissive animal in our home. Completely trustworthy around other dogs, cats, children, and strangers, he is in many ways the perfect dog.

This was all a surprise to me. I rescued a pit bull in order to raise and train him right as an example to others that there is nothing inherently dangerous about this breed. As it turned out, he required no special training or attention at all. He almost never barks, seemed to understand house training at birth, and has never demonstrated the slightest inclination toward aggression.

I can't say that everyone will always be so lucky with this breed, but I can say that my little man has been all I could have hoped for!
