Adopted from a rescue group, she was listed as a husky mix. But obviously had a bit of pit in her that was more obvious as a puppy. I thought I was getting a low maintenance short haired dog, but around six months her coat filled in and she requires a lot of grooming, and still sheds year round. If you've never had a dog, just resign yourself to a bit of fur. Pit bulls are prone to ACL tears, and we had a tear last year when she was 6. It's been expensive and hard taking care of an injury. In hindsight, I would have opted for pet insurance.
