My grandmother got a mixed breed American-Eskimo/Lhasa Apso, which the breeder told us was called a 'Lhaskimo'.

It is significantly larger than a Lhasa, but significantly smaller than an Eskimo. It has the Lhasa's hair coat, with the barrel chest of a dog bred for pulling sleds. She weighed maybe 30-40 pounds over the course of her life, and was just a little lump of muscle; incredibly strong.

She was a little on the neurotic end though, and tended to be a bit on the barky side as well. This wouldn't have been so bad, but unfortunately her bark was an extremely piercing high pitch would would get annoying quite quickly.

Apart from being a little goofy though, she was a very loving dog, and incredibly protective of my grandmother. She made a great little companion for her, and I recommend the breed to those who are looking for something a little more active than a Lhasa/Shitzu but still on the small end of the scale.
