My First Dog

My American Bully was the first dog I ever owned. I did not grow up around animals and always wanted to have this experience. I was 24 years, recently married and just purchased our first home. As you can imagine we were very busy at the time and knew this would be a huge responsibility. We researched intensely and decided on the American Bully. We couldn’t have made a better decision!

The thing that surprised me the most is how easy she was to train. She was so smart and responsive! Within a few days, she was sitting on command and waiting until our cue to enjoy her dinner. We used positive reinforcements with lots of treats and only did a couple sessions a day. How efficient! She became a pro!

She was also athletic, which was a plus for us since it kept us moving. She made sure we exercised! Another thing I loved is she did not shed much. This was important to me, as I do not like hair all over the place. I am somewhat of a clean freak. If you want a dog who is obedient, intelligent, low maintenance and easy to love – go for the American Bully! It will be a guarantee.
