We have breed and raised American Bullys since 2006. We have had up to 7 at once living in our home. We also have 6 children so it was important to us that they be great around kids. When we adopted 2 of our children the State had to come out and approve our dogs, which was a breeze. The State workers loved them. They are great with our special needs children and 2 of the dogs we sold are being trained for to help disabled and or special needs children (one of whom has seizures). They are easy to train and low maintenance when it comes to health issues. They are active and should be exercised daily but they also have a lazy side to them. They are sensitive to extreme heat and even though we live in a state with mild weather, once it hits 70 degrees or so they want inside under the fan. They are great with other animals and tend to be a social kind of dog.
