Fiona, the American Bulldog

Fiona is like a pig dog to us. She is fat and she squeals like a pig. When Fiona first came to our house, she was 2-feet tall and had a grumpy face. I was hesitant to even just rub her head thinking she might bite me. But, yes, looks are deceiving! She turned out to be a good dog. She loves to have her head and back tickled.

The previous owner said that they had to ship Fiona and another male American Bulldog to our place, but only Fiona survived. The other one died of dehydration. In a tropical place where I am, the weather here is hot. The previous owner decided to have Fiona sheltered in our house because we had an area where Fiona can move around well and the temperature in that area is a lot cooler. When it comes to eating, we don’t have any problem with her. She has a big appetite. And, she gets to drink several liters of water each day.

Fiona blends in well with other dogs. She doesn’t bark that much, she squeals more than she barks. She is also good with kids. However, when she is chasing something and runs fast, she easily gets tired. Fiona is the only dog we have who snores when she sleeps.
