I got Wesley when he was about 2 months old, and we've been inseperable ever since. He's smarter and has more personality than any dog I've ever owned, and he's cuter too, if I do say so myself.

The great thing about Wesley is that he's his own dog, with a very defined personality. His intelligence can be a double-edged sword, as you can teach him a new trick or behavior in just a few minutes- but you gotta watch him, because he's crafty!

If you ever have a chance to get a mix like this, I'd suggest you do it. He's big- 85 lbs.- but he doesn't realize it. He LOVES other people and dogs, but he's not the greatest guard dog (actually, he's a fraidy cat).

The biggest downsides to him are his high energy levels (in the afternoons and evenings...he is NOT a morning puppy), sometimes excessive vocalization, and stubborn/sneaky streak.

Other than that, he's pretty much perfect. I can't imagine life without him.
