My American Alsatian is an overall satisfactory breed of dog. It’s friendly, intelligent, courageous, sharp and very alert.
I’ve had this breed of dog for 7 years and counting and on the whole, I can say it’s a great breed of dog for kids and family because it’s very affectionate and playful. It’s also easy to train and very obedient and loyal.
Although this breed of dog is alert and barks up a storm at intruders, it’s a little too friendly and
has the tendency to get overly familiar with strangers, at least after that initial growl and sniff. This sometimes can be quite a turn off for me as I’m left wondering if my dog didn’t just sell out.
On the whole, it has a balanced temperament and is one breed of dog I don’t feel any anxiety leaving my younger kids around.
