Nukka - A gentle giant

Nukka is a short-haired Alaskan Malamute. She is a loving and playful dog. I received this dog from a local neighbor and started working with her at 2 months. She is fully crate trained and is still working on obedience. For her breed, she is a healthy dog with a lot of love to share with everyone.

Nukka enjoys meeting new people and would be great as an emotional therapy dog. She is a giant already at 10 months, dwarfing out Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix , and sometimes forgets her size. She is very energetic at times but will calm down if everyone else is relaxed. Nukka loves to grab items out of uncovered trash cans and eat random things lying on the ground. She used to chew on furniture but after some training she now enjoys destroying toys instead. Nukka is very independent at times and if not leashed, she will go off on her own. This breed is best broken of its independence and dominance if given an older adult dog that will maintain order or a strong willed owner who is willing to work with the dog extensively. Overall, she is a great dog with a great demeanor.
