The Alaskan Malamute is perhaps the most beautiful and most majestic dog on the planet. This may be why so many first time dog owners drawn toward it, from my own experience this was 100% the case. When Woody first came into my house as a pup it became apparent that he was going to be a handful.

From day one Woody was an energetic, loud animal who liked to pee everywhere. As the first few months went by we began to run into issues with Woody, his energy levels were through the roof and regardless of how many walks my family gave him he wasn't satisfied. Over the proceeding months it became clear that Woody wasn't a right fit for us as a family as we lived in a somewhat urban area and Woody would not stop barking.

In 2007 we came to the decision to sell Woody to a lovely young family who lived about 20 miles away in the countryside so he could have a better more outdoorsy life. while this review contains a lot of negativity let me be clear that the Alaskan Malamute is an amazing loving animal but it just wasn't the right fit for me and my family.
