For around 3-4 years I owned a Siberian Husky X Alaskan Malamute.
It was a fun and rewarding experience, but it had some downsides.
Misty was a fun loving dog, loves to go for runs and run around the yard, good with all people, minimal unnecessary howling/barking, and was relatively easy to groom, and easy to train.

She just wanted to play, she would always play and love having other dogs around to play with her. We used to spend hours mucking around with her in the back yard, then she would just come and sit with us and show us affection. The only issue with her, was she would dominate smaller things. Sometimes young children, and sometimes small dogs. She bit people twice in a serious manner, ending with her being put down. She gave me a warning bite upon trying to remove her food, so we went through special obedience lessons, but then she bit another family member, for trying to take a packet of lollies of her that she had stolen.

All in all it was a great dog and would recommend it to anyone! Just ensure it is trained well!
