A Little Crazy

My dog is a mix of Alaskan Malamute and another breed (the shelter we got her from didn't know) and she is a great dog. She has the most beautiful eyes; the top half of both her eyes is blue, and the bottom half is brown. She is loving, crazy, and loves to lick my face. She loves to be outside, and a problem with her is that she gets seriously depressed when trapped in the house. She will lie down and look miserable, won't eat very much, and won't play. She halfheartedly licks my hand when inside, and I can't bear to keep her indoors longer than needed. She is a great dog because she doesn't really have much of a smell, but she sheds large clumps of fur and I sometimes have to vacuum her off when she starts shedding. She is a very messy eater, gulping down her food as fast as possible, but always cleans up all the food she has spilled all over the floor. She loves people and kids and tries to be careful and not knock anyone over when she greets them. She can be a watchdog sometimes if she's in the mood, but that's not very often. It's hard to take her on walks because she strains at the leash, so much that she makes herself hoarse (maybe that's just because I haven't trained her at all--I don't really have the need to). She gets distracted very, very easily as well, but it hasn't ever been a problem.

Even with her shortcomings, she is a wonderful dog and I wouldn't trade her for any other.
