Huskies are one of my favorite breeds, but one I could never have as a forever pet. They are very sweet and curious. They will play with any dog they meet since they were bred to work well in a pack. They generally get along well with most people and other dogs.

They are incredibly intelligent. At the rescue, we once had a husky escape because it knew it had 3 seconds to bolt out of the back door before it closed (don't worry! She was found playing on the grass!). If they have an opportunity to outsmart you, they will. They are also amazing at jumping fences, one volunteer had her foster husky jump a 6 foot fence! They require extensive training, a lot of exercise and a very high fence :)

If you are willing to put in the work they make wonderful companions!
