I have fostered an Alaskan Husky for about a year. He was the best dog, and was gentle and sweet to my family and my other animals. He took me for walks (1-2 miles/day) and greeted everyone (and every pole) on the way. He is very intelligent and occasionally stubborn, but its usually when he just wants to go where he wants to go.
I would suggest training early on but one of the best dogs your ever going to have.
Warning: you may never want a different breed again.... :)
