My Dog Finny

My dog Finn is a lab/husky mix. I got him from a shelter when he was a year old and he was beat up and abused. It took him a while to warm up to my boyfriend and I, but once we worked with him and did some training, he became the most lovable dog I have ever owned.

Finn is great with children, even really young. When the holiday season rolls around I have no problem taking him to meet the whole family. He loves playing with all the children and absolutely adores babies. He lays right next to them.

Finn requires A LOT of attention. He always seems to be hyper and wants to be in your business. Personally, I love this, but if you want a dog that isn't so active I would not go with this breed. Especially the Husky side. Also he sheds like I have never seen another dog shed before! I brush him daily because of his thick coat. Huskies are known for their thick coat to keep them warm, and it requires a lot of maintenance. I can't tell you the number of vaccuum bags I have gone through sweeping up his fur. These are the only two aspects of huskies I think might drive some people away. Other than that, Finn is the sweetest and most lovable dog.
