Sampson was the family pet for seven years, he was an Alaskan Husky-Black Lab mix. He never needed any training, he came to us very relaxed and friendly. He did smell quite a lot when he'd get wet. Taking him in for grooming was a must, we didn't know how to keep the wet dog smell from sticking to everything if we bathed him at home. He needed a haircut every year in the mid-spring and again in the middle of summer, or he'd spend most of his time in the pond out back. He did chase off a cat we had once, but we never knew if he meant to or if she was just afraid of him. He'd bark at the door, usually about twice, when someone new came in and he wasn't the best watch dog. Everyone was a friend, which was exactly what we wanted. Even after nine years, I still remember every day with him. He was a wonderful dog.
