Our experience with owning a mixed breed Alaskan Husky and Chow is one that our family will never forget. He had been donated to us by a friend, and he was one of the best things that happened to us. He was in our lives from birth until his passing (a span of 17 years in human years). People couldn't believe that he had lived as long as he did. Family and friends would say to us over the years: "Wow, he's still alive?" It was truly amazing.
We really couldn't have asked for a better pet. He was vibrant and lively; he loved to play, and he kept his youthful spirit for a very long time. Very easy to train. He was pretty mild-tempered, but still very protective. Most of all, he was very loving - and everyone who met him fell in love with him as well. He was very much apart of the family, and we were sad when it was his time to leave us. He lived a very long life.
