Sand Castle Alapahas Experience

My first introduction to this wonderful breed was approx 7 yrs ago when my friend told me she had met one at the vets office she worked at and had fallen in love. She purchased a female a few months later after investigating the breed extensively. What an amasing dog that female turned out to be! She immediately won my heart over and I found that I HAD to have one of my own. So, when my friend later bred Gypsy I was adopted by one of her pups whom I named Jezabel. Jezabel hands down is the best dog I have ever owned. She is loyal, protective, smart, well behaved and wonderful with my friends and family and other pets. Yet I know I am protected when she is around. These dogs have a natural protective instinct that I have never seen  in any other breed. They know who is welcome and who isn't. I was so impressed with this breed that I become a breeder and have never looked back! The one thing I do want to point out though is they are a strong minded and strong bodied bulldog. They do need a person who will be firm with them. They do learn quickly and will figure out who is boss - you or them. If you are a push over this may not be the breed for you. If you can be firm then they are great dogs and a joy to have around.
