Airedale Maybe Wrong Dog For Me

Purchased Chief from a professional Airedale breeder. This was the only dog that she owned and bred. It was not a puppy mill (only a few breeding per year) and very expensive.

Chief was a very high energy dog. He needed a lot of exercise and some kind of job. When this was not the case, he became frustrated and would become destructive. He was extremely smart yet stubborn. He was easy to pick up potty training but obsidian r was difficult. Chief did not seem to attached to us as a family.

Chief was a beautiful dog and pretty easy to groom. He did not shed which was a plus. He was friendly towards people and animals. On a few occasions while playing with my children, he would get excited and bite them accidentally.

All-in-all, he was to high energy for us. He required an experienced handler that knew obedience training well. He also would have benefited by having a job or by doing agility.
