The Afghan Hound! Attractive from afar, I've never really had one but I've had my fair share of exposure to it - my neighbour had one, and somehow it feels like I owned it :) this giant of a dog used to jump over their fence into our yard ALL THE TIME! I think it was mainly because we had us a Beagle at the time and the two were well acquainted...
The dog was constantly chasing other smaller animals around, leaving squeeling pups and cats in its path. Not only that but it sheds like crazy! You'll find yourself constantly cleaning hair off everything in your house. If you wish to have one be sure to have it on a leash most of the time as it can be quite destructive.
This isn't the smartest dog you'll find, no, far from it, I remember the owner was always complaining about its untrainability ! So, a short leash and unwaining patience is a must for owners...
