This has to be the most elegant of all the dog breeds. Their sleek look and shiny blonde hair would make any hollywood celebrity envious. They are such warm and friendly dogs and actually make very good guard dogs and are constantly aware of what is going on outside. I have only worked with a few Afghan Hounds but all have been fun and entertaining to be around. They don't require as much grooming and attention as people think they do. They actually do quite fine with minimum grooming. With a good weekly bath wash, hair drying and 10 minutes of brushing they will continue to look well groomed and that is just as much time as I would spend on grooming my labradors. A fun different breed to keep. Highly recommended.
