Cairland Terrier has been wonderful for our young family

After losing our precious Westie last Summer at the age of 5 1/2 years we were devastated.  Our 2-year old daughter was so sad and couldn't understand.  About 7 months later we started feeling like we wanted another puppy around and began researching breeds.  We really loved our westie's personality but she had SO many health problems, from Addison's disease to skin allergies to a bad knee.  She died of Lymphoma of her liver.  When we stumbled across the Cairland Hybrid we were intrigued because it seemed like an interesting concept.  Some believe that breaking the pure bred cycle can in some cases cut out genetic disorders common to the respective breeds.  This was important to us after losing our Westie so young.
We couldn't be happier with our Cairland.  He is so mellow, sweet tempered and obedient.  He loves to play and cuddle as well.  He rarely barks and is completely house-trained.  He's awsome with our daughter who is about to be 3 years old.  He can't wait for her to wake up in the morning so they can play.
We highly recommend this breed!  :-)
