High energy, NEEDS exercise

This dog was very high energy, and not generally happy inside. Unlike many other dogs this size, this is not a good breed for an apartment (unless, perhaps, you live right next door to a big park). He loved exercise (jogging, fetch, frisbee, biking) and agility training.

He was suspicious of strangers and strange animals, and very protective of his family. He was less barky than other breeds of his size, being able to be alert and watching something without barking incessantly. This made him a superb watch dog.

Cons:
-VERY high energy.
-The breed is known to be nippy, but this was not a big problem with him. Perhaps this is because we were well aware of how suspicious and uneasy he was around strangers and strange animals, and were attentive in such situations.
-The breed is also known to be aggressive towards other animals.
