Owning a Dog

I've owned many dogs before, all seemed a lot more reserved than this German Wire Haired pointer, she's very excitable most of the time, the only time she tends to calm down is after her long twice daily walks, I think she'd be manic without them! Definitely an animal to only consider if you have vast amounts of spare time to spend on the dog!
She's very well behaved for the most part, however when we first got her she was terrified of everything after being kept in a crate for most of her life, there were a few problems adapting her and making her feel comfortable in a new environment.
You've never met a more affectionate dog, she may not be too pretty, but she's adorable, with the wirey hair they don't seem to have a great deal of aesthetic, but they are hunting dogs after all, so do not expect them to get on with any smaller animals!
