Cleopatra came to me through a neighbor that I used to live next to. I had just lost my other cats, Misty, Bear and Squirrel. My neighbor had two cats himself, both black and brown and long haired. I noticed my neighbor wasn't really showing any interest to now Cleopatra, as much as he would show his other cat. so I asked him if I could have her. He said I could. I noticed she was emaciated and poorly groomed. The whole reason he didn't want her or didn't really pay attention to her was because she had diarrhea a lot and he would leave her in his bathroom, with hardly any food or water. She would go to the bathroom in the bathtub. At least that is what he told me. I took her in and started feeding her liquids at first and then moved to solids eventually.

As time went on her appearance changed to this beautiful York Chocolate beauty! Her eyes and her face are so adorable. Sometimes when cats get to that stage, they give up. But she didn't. And neither did I. I am truly blessed to have her and I thank my neighbor for having the sense to give her away, instead of not paying attention to her.
