Pistol is a very unique cat. He is so beautiful. When he sits in the window and the sun illuminates his face, you can see how truly gorgeous he is. The only catch is, he isn't the sharpest pencil in the box. He has a kind, endearing spirit. He is not a cat that will want to perform tricks or play difficult games. His hobbies mainly include: falling off of surfaces he's resting on, sleeping on my chest, meeting people at the door, chasing his tail, and laying down to eat.
If you want a barn cat that will flourish on his own, this is not the cat for you. If you work from home and want a snugly kitty friend to be your sidekick, this is the cat for you. Do not adopt one of these cats if you're out of the house a lot. They will go into a deep depression. They need multiple people and other animals around. He is very vocal and needs to be able to love on someone constantly. They are very sensitive kitties inside and feel everything. Everyone who visits your house will want to take home your Snowshoe Siamese.
He does shed a fair amount and his skin is very sensitive. Ha can't have any food or treats with artificial red dyes or his skin starts breaking out in horrible rashes. We feed him a totally brown diet now and his issues have almost completely gone away. I think over time he will heal completely. He has regular check ups and other than the employees wanting to steal him, there are never any real issues. He also loves going in the car. Many mornings he goes to the coffee stand with me. He gets a treat and love from all the girls inside. Snowshoe Siamese cats are wonderful, quirky, entertaining cats. If you have the time and affection for one, they will love you forever.
