Before I took her home, Iris was a barn cat. A friend of mine owns a farm and one day someone dropped off a pregnant cat. She gave birth to a litter of kittens in my friend’s barn. I saw her when she was old enough to be eating solid food on her own and I thought she was adorable. She was a white fluff ball with black markings. Iris was the most adventurous of her siblings, always climbing and exploring. She was also always found sitting in a flower pot. That’s what we decided on her name! We wanted a flower name and we already had a Rose. Iris is now two years old and as spoiled as ever. She likes to lay on my bed but only if it’s made. She’s picky with food but will eat it eventually. When she was younger, she was always grumpy. She would bat at you if you walked by. But she was loving if you laid in the bedroom or went in the bathroom. Iris is finally warming up to be nice all the time. She is also great at fetch! If you throw one of her toys, she will run and go get and bring it right back. She would play fetch forever if you let her. Although she can be a little grumpy sometimes, she is a sweet cat. She loves to snuggle right next to you at night and keep you nice and warm. She also has the softest fur!
