I adopted two Scottish Folds a few years ago. They are the most loving, gentle boys I've ever got the pleasure to know. However, two important things to consider when adopting these cats are, for starters, they're lazy! They are the epitome of the sleepy cat. This can be a plus or minus depending on what kind of cat you're looking for.

Secondly, these cats are the most tolerable cats I've ever had. They will let children carry them around; they do not startle easily. That being said they also don't seem to mind other animals. They will get along with even a high energy cat/dog if introduced together properly.

All in all, these cats are great for those who want an addition to their family that doesn't require too much care.
