This little gem came around at the perfect time for my daughter who was begging for a pet. Mitchie just showed up one day on a stump in the backyard and my daughter took to him immediately. She was the only one who could get within 5 feet of him and that was with food she would have to leave and walk away. We would watch him from the back door come and eat it but he was gone again when we opened the door. It took probably a week for him to get comfortable with all of us and also this long for her to be able to pet it. But after this and he saw she wasn't going to hurt him, she could hardly walk across the yard without him in between her feet. He was a very playful cat when he wanted to be and when not playing he was stretched out sleeping in a box, on the porch railing, a step, where ever he thought it was comfortable. Everyone kept telling me to get him fixed and I didn't listen. He ended up taking off for parts unknown one day and never returned. I do suggest if you are going to have an outside cat that you take him to be fixed at your nearest animal shelter.
