In my earlier years I owned a ragamuffin cat named Coco, and it wasn’t just the adorable name that drew me to her. She was a gorgeous mix of white and light brown shades, hence the name, and had the best temperament of any cat I’ve ever experienced. Although when I was with her she was getting on a bit, and could just have been sick of our childish exuberance.

Generally she was fairly timid, preferring to sit next to someone rather than most cats who won’t give anyone any personal space. However she could be playful, just docile. If you waved a feathered toy in front of her face, depending on her mood, she would gladly paw back at it. She also was never particularly vicious, only once scratching one of my friends, and even then it was just a tiny one.

There’s not much negative to say about her, but maybe that’s just me being sentimental. One thing I can say is that close to her death the vet bills started to rack up, but hey, who can blame her?

So basically, she was the perfect family pet. Cute, cuddly and with the perfect temperament for young children.
