Out of all the cats I own and have owned I think these and Main Coons have to be my favourite cats. This long haired cat doesn't shed its hair as much as other cats. I have kept this breed with a couple other short hair breeds at the same time and this breed sheds far less, almost no hair, in comparison to my Red point Siamese and Tortoiseshell Shorthair. I love this breed to bits and our Norwegian Forest cat named kitty is a perfect example of what a great breed of cat this is. They have to be the friendliest cat breed in the world and they are simply awesome to keep. They love to be helped in your arms and my Kitty will spend all day on my lap and keep me company. She is just like a dog in that she needs to be with people all the time. She loves me to stroke her and will bite my chin if she enjoys it. She is an incredible cat and out of all the many cats we have had at my house she is definately the most affectionate and most loving. She is just like a rag doll and you can literally just pick her up and go to another room and sit down again and she will not mind you dragging her along. I would highly recommend this breed and there are few breeds I would recommend as highly as this one. A beautiful cat with a majestic presence and a elegance that is seldom seen in other breeds. A truly loyal companion.
