Kitten meet Old Moggy - Let the fun begin!

So, a friend's cat managed to get herself pregnant before she was 'done', not one to see an animal without a home I selflessly offered one little ball of fluff a home. Fast forward and I bring home Charley. Now my 15-year-old moggy has settled into a routine of eat, sleep and other essential kitty activities since we got her from an animal shelter 3 years earlier. She was NOT impressed at our new addition. Now do not get me wrong, I had not gone into this blind, I was a veritable 'expert' on introduction theory, kitty behaviourism and could retell most of what I had gleaned from many hours of Internet searching. I still was not prepared for the fight I had on my hands trying to get these two to even tolerate each other. I considered giving up. But I am pleased to say I didn't. Be persistent. Maintain your routines and do all you can to assure each furry that their world hasn't just fallen apart. Oh, and never under estimate the raw energy of a kitten!
