Mickey the tuxedo cat

I got my cat, Mickey, from a shelter when he was a tiny kitten and he turned out to be one of the best pets I’ve ever had. He was always a cute cat, with a soft, long black coat with bright white whiskers and paws. Apparently the colouring is known as a “Tuxedo Cat”.

Although he was quite energetic and playful as a kitten, he became very lazy and cuddly as he got older! He was the type of cat who would sit on your lap all day if you gave him half the chance – just right for me!

Despite his luxurious long coat, he was actually very clean and didn’t require much grooming. I don’t think I ever heard him meow at all, although he quickly earned himself the nickname of ‘The Tractor’ for his extremely loud purring.

Although he was healthy when I had him, Mickey sadly passed away from a snakebite much too young!
