"My" Cat Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle was a Black and White short-hair. She was..she was the best cat that I've ever known (worked with or family owned). I used "My" in the title because she was technically my older sister's cat but my older sister never really did much but feed and water Honeysuckle. I was the one who played with her and gave her the TLC that she needed most. I just referred to her as mine because in my young mind, she was. I would brush her almost every day even though she didn't need it as she cleaned herself. She adored being brushed and would lick you in return as a thank you. She was who I'd go to when I needed some TLC myself, like if I was upset with my mom, dad, siblings, or just life in general. She always seemed to know when I needed a little extra love.

Moving on, she loved Lebanon bologna as a treat every once in a while. She would get so excited if she smelled or saw it and when she was fed it, it would make her go crazy. I think it was like catnip to her. She would be running around, bouncing off the walls crazy. She wasn't too friendly with strangers but with a couple of the family members, she was very social with. She didn't like being held, but loved to brush up against your arms or legs and be petted.

She died when I was pretty young, but I still remember the day, the feelings, and the way it effected the whole family. If I could bring her back, I would instantly. I hope this helps any cat owners or to be cat owners pick out their next cat. Thanks for reading. :)
